Tickets limited for SOAR Cowpie Bingo

Tickets are expected to go fast for the SOAR Foundations’ 2nd Annual Cow Pie Bingo event.

Tickets are now on sale in Sisters at the SOAR office (Sisters Organization for Activities and Recreation). The bingo game will be held on Friday, October 21, at the Sisters football field.

At 3:30 p.m., Gomez the steer will be turned loose on a giant bingo board painted on the football field. The event will conclude when Gomez “creates” a cow pie in one of the bingo squares. If the cow pie drops in one of your squares you could be the winner of 10 percent of the proceeds.

“There are only 2,000 tickets sold for the event and you’ll want to be sure to buy them soon! The closer we get to the event the faster the tickets will sell,” said Kim Leese, SOAR Foundation President.

In addition to the big prize of 10 percent of the proceeds, many Sisters businesses have donated door prizes. Tickets will be drawn at the event; winner need not be present.

Proceeds from the Cow Pie Bingo event will be used to help fund the before and after-school programs that are held at the SOAR Community Center.

“Over 1,000 kids each year participate in the before- and after-school programs at SOAR,” said Leese.
