• Deputies dealt with a couple of domestic problems, one resulting in an arrest for assault witnessed by a minor child.
• A man reported that flags were stolen from the front of his property.
• Deputies investigated a residential burglary in which prescription drugs were taken.
• Both deputies and firemen tried to get a cat off a roof (not hot and not tin), but they were unsuccessful. The cat just jumped to another roof.
Black Butte Ranch Police
• Voters approved a new tax levy that will keep officers on duty 24/7.
• An officer pulled a woman over for having no taillights. The woman said she was aware of the problem but didn’t want to stop because she was being followed by a man who was pulling up on her and yelling at her.
Sure enough, the man pulled up at the traffic stop. Seems he’d been yelling at the woman that she didn’t have any taillights and offering to fix them.
The officer told the man that in the future he should call in traffic complaints rather than chasing people.
