Bennett to be featured on Oregon Art Beat

Sisters artist Paul Alan Bennett will be featured in an Oregon Public Broadcasting edition of Oregon Art Beat.

The program profiles outstanding artists from around the state.

The broadcast will air on Thursday, December 15, at 8 p.m. and will be re-broadcast on Sunday, December 18, at 2 a.m. and 6 p.m.

An award winning professional artist, educator and art advocate, Bennett has garnered national attention for his work, much of which explores Central Oregon themes.

An honors graduate of Maryland Institute of Art with a Master of Arts from The University of La Verne (Athens, Greece), Bennett has excelled in the field of watercolor and most recently in the release of a select group of Limited Edition Fine Art Giclee Prints. He has worked closely with Pendleton Woolen Mills to release limited edition tapestry blankets.

His style and perspective originate from memories, life experiences and travels that spark the playfulness in this Sisters artist.

Bennett’s Pendleton Woolen Mills Tapestry Blankets, original paintings and fine art prints will be featured at High Desert Gallery through December 31.

A “Holiday Open House and Artist in Attendance” Reception is scheduled for Saturday, December 17, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is free and open to the public and refreshments will be served.
