Sisters sheriff's calls

The deputy got permission to look in the men’s truck for rifles. They were unarmed; just admiring the critters.

• Deputies investigated a report of a woman furnishing alcohol to minors.

• In a separate incident, deputies made several arrests for furnishing alcohol in a case that nearly left a 15-year-old Sisters boy dead from alcohol poisoning (see story, page 1).

• A pair of youths duct-taped the doors and made obscene pictures with duct tape on a girl’s car at Sisters High School. A deputy notified the boys’ parents, who must have been so proud.

• A Sisters man was arrested for probation violation after he drank alcohol.

• A dog got loose and was hit by a car. The dog’s owner retrieved the dog.

• A local resident wanted a deputy to “persuade” his homeowners’ association to plow a private road. The deputy told the man he had no authority in the matter, but he did ask. The association said the road is completely passable and didn’t require plowing.

• A theft of items from a vehicle was reported at Three Creek Sno-Park.

Black Butte Ranch Police

• An officer assisted with the major wreck on Highway 20/22 (see story, page 1).

• There was also a roll-over wreck on Highway 20 at Suttle Lake and several cases of cars sliding off the roadway into snow banks.
