Photography club produces calendar

Folks who live in Sisters or love to visit here can hang a little of the countryside’s spectacular beauty on their walls with a new calendar produced by local photographers.

The Sisters Calendar 2006 was produced by the Sisters Area Photography Club and printed by Xpress Printing. The calendar features 13 full-color outdoor captioned photos of the Sisters area shot by club members.

The last two pages list Sisters area events for the whole year including contact information.

The calendar sells for $14.95 and will be carried at several stores in Sisters and at the Sisters Area Chamber of Commerce Visitors Center. The club is splitting profits with merchants. Profits will be used to fund a scholarship for a photography student at Sisters High School, to buy camera equipment that club members can share, to pay rent for meeting space and for a permanent office.

The calendar is expected to be in the stores and at the Chamber office by Thursday, December 22.
