News and Opinion from Sisters, Oregon

Sisters sheriff’s calls...

• A deputy investigated a report of a dead deer that looked suspicious (the death, that is). The deputy concluded that it was ordinary road kill.

• Someone stole coins from several newspaper vending machines, using a bolt cutter to break the padlocks.

• Deputies cited several teens for trespassing on the roof of a Sisters business. One of them was also cited for possession of a small amount of marijuana. Makes one wonder what they were up to up there...

• Someone reportedly stole the sink handles from a local restaurant bathroom. Presumably they were a perfect match for somebody’s decor.

Information in “Sisters sheriff’s calls” is taken from log entries and reports of the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office.
