Tickets are now on sale for the 66th annual PRCA Sisters Rodeo, scheduled for June 9-11 at the Sisters Rodeo Grounds.
Rodeo performances will be held Friday, June 9, 7 p.m.; Saturday, June 10, 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.; and Sunday, June 11, 1 p.m. The traditional rodeo parade will be held in downtown Sisters on Saturday, June 10, starting at 9:30 a.m. On Sunday, June 11, the Kiwanis Buckaroo Breakfast will be served from 7 to 11 a.m. and the Cowboy Church Service will be held at 9 a.m., at the rodeo grounds.
Ticket prices range from $10 to $15. All seats are unreserved at $10 for the Friday evening performance with children 12 and under admitted free. Seating for all other performances are reserved. Group rates are available for 10 or more for the Sunday afternoon performance. Children six and under are admitted free in some sections on Sunday.
The 2006 Sisters Rodeo queen Sarah Noce of Tumalo will reign over the weekend performances and events. Each performance will feature the grand entry, team bronc riding, tie-down roping, bareback riding, steer wrestling, saddle bronc riding, team roping, bull riding and barrel racing.
“We still have good seats available for all performances,” said Cathy Williams of the Sisters Rodeo Association. “Fans really like that we bring in the top cowboys and rodeo livestock, along with great announcers and bullfighters who make this rodeo special.”
Curt Robinson and Wayne Brooks will return as announcers this year. Popular bullfighter Rowdy Barry will team up with Danny Newman. This year’s rodeo clown will be Crash Cooper. The featured entertainment will be a duo of trick riders, Team Karson.
For tickets and information, either call the ticket hotline at 549-0121 in Central Oregon or (800) 827-7522 outside the area, or stop by the ticket office at 220 W. Cascade Ave. in Sisters. During the winter months, the office is open Mondays through Fridays, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The office may be open during limited hours on winter weekends.
