CLARIFICATION

Some readers were confused by the sidebar accompanying last week’s story “Sheriff’s office seeks stable funding,” (The Nugget, April 19, page 1).

This is a revised version of “Who pays what” that clarifies the points of confusion.

City of Sisters:

Black Butte Ranch (BBR):

District One: maximum $1.25/$1,000. Jail, courthouse security, search & rescue, etc.

Those outside city limits or outside BBR pay BOTH:

District One ($1.25/$1,000) and District Two (max. $1.55/$1,000): Patrols, detectives, ability to respond to 911 calls, traffic safety, school resource officers, animal control, etc.
