• A man summoned a deputy because he considered a hole his neighbor had dug to be a safety hazard. The hole was part of a construction project. The deputy did not consider the hole a safety hazard but the contractor agreed to get it filled when he had the equipment on site.
• Deputies arrested a 52-year-old woman for drunk driving after a single-vehicle wreck at Holmes Road and Lower Bridge. The woman reportedly claimed that a deer ran out in front of her while she was tying her shoe (?) causing the accident.
She gave conflicting accounts of how much she’d had to drink and when.
A deputy found white crystals in her vehicle, but the substance turned out to be kosher salt.
• A babysitter got caught in a custody question when the father of the child hired her to watch the youngster. The mom showed up to take the kid to the doctor and the babysitter couldn’t reach dad so she called 9-1-1. A deputy tracked dad down and he had no problem with mom taking the child to the doctor.
• A 27-year-old Sisters woman was arrested for drunk driving after she plowed into a stone wall in a rural subdivision.
• A deputy had to clean up after a vehicle that dropped a stove in the roadway.
• A child got locked in the car in a residential driveway. Mom kept the kid calm while neighbors helped get the car unlocked.
• An employee of a Sisters business made unauthorized purchases on e-Bay. The employee is paying the employer back through a civil compromise.
