“On Monday, the first day of the tournament, Maureen Broadbent picked a great day to have her best round of the season. She picked up some very valuable strokes for the team on Monday,” said Coach Mary Flande.
Flande noted that both Shelby Ross and Alexis Wainwright played consistent golf on both days of the contest and that Meghan Crowder came through and finished strong to help lead the Outlaws to their second- place finish.
“Meghan struggled on Monday but put a very solid round together on Tuesday,” said Flande.
Flande told The Nugget that she was pleased with the play of both Claire Mutchler and Jessica Little in the fifth spot.
“This has been a total team effort the entire year and the district tournament proved to be proof of how these girls have held each other up the whole season. I’m very proud of the team and their efforts this season. I’m happy for them. They’re a great group of young ladies and it’s a privilege for me to be able to coach them.”
