Library offers used books

“You name it, we’ve got it,” Sue Edgerton and Marianne Fettkether said.

They were describing the newly installed Friends of the Sisters Library (FOSL) Used Book Store in the new Sisters Library.

Sue added, “So many books, so little time…”

One of the biggest contributors of money to FOSL comes from used book sales.

It is possible to find used books in any subject area that will make birthday gifts for youngsters and oldsters alike.

Paperbacks go for 50 cents; hardbacks are $1. Trade paperbacks sell for $2 and children’s books are 50 cents.

All book sales are paid for through the “Honor System,” which makes check payment quick and easy; pick out the book you want and pay the staff librarian.

If there is a special subject you are looking for, leave a note with the librarian and she will pass it along to Sue and Marianne.

Friends of the Sisters Library also hosts a large used book sale during Quilt Show on the second Saturday of July (that’s July 8 this year).
