Sisters sheriff’s calls...

• A burglar broke into a Sisters business and stole a cash register valued at $800 — and containing $100 in cash.

• There was a report of a man on Highway 20 in the Cloverdale area wearing nothing but tennis shoes and a smile. Deputies were unable to locate him.

• A couple of cars were hit by paintballs in separate incidents.

• Deputies investigated an incident of identity theft and illegal use of a credit card.

• Vandals made a mess at a local business, wrecking outdoor decorations and knocking over flower pots.

• An 11-year-old Sisters boy left a note and ran away — for one block. A deputy found him and offered him some counseling.

Black Butte Ranch Police

• An officer pulled a man over after seeing him weaving in highway traffic. The 59-year-old man was allegedly intoxicated and the officer placed him under arrest. The man asked a deputy on the scene what would be done with his son who was still in the car.

The deputy informed him that, in fact, there wasn’t anybody else in the car.
