Crossroads elects board and officers

Larry Safley and Harold Busch have been elected to three-year terms on the Board of Directors of the Crossroads Property Owners Association. Election results were reported at the June 24 annual meeting of the association held at Sisters Community Church. Some 40 property owners were represented at the meeting or in proxy.

Maret Pajutee, forest ecologist with the Sisters Ranger District, presented a slide program on her favorite secret places in the local area. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Cook won the door prize of a $50 gift certificate from Coyote Creek Café and Lounge.

Leland Chase, a Crossroads resident for 27 years, was recognized as the longest continuous resident living in Crossroads since the subdivision was established in 1972.

Retiring director Dorene Fisher was presented the Buck Award in recognition of her 10 years on the Board as director, Vice Chair, and Chair. The award is given periodically to recognize outstanding community service to Crossroads in memory of Max Buck Close, a former director and Crossroads resident.

Because of other board vacancies caused by directors leaving the area or experiencing increasing workloads, the new board elected Linda Alldredge and Arlene Gibson to complete two years each of a three-year term. Luann Danforth was reelected Chair, Linda Alldredge was elected Vice Chair, and Office Manager Pattie Morgan was elected Secretary-Treasurer.
