News and Opinion from Sisters, Oregon
The Kiwanis Club of Sisters President Tay Robertson presented long time Kiwanis member Glenn Keeran with the Distinquished Service Award.
Keeran was the surprised special guest of the Kiwanis Club of Sisters recently at Bronco Billy’s Ranch Grill & Saloon, where some 60 fellow Kiwanians honored him at a banquet for his many years of hard work through the Kiwanis Club.
During Keeran’s service in Kiwanis Club of Sisters, he was also designated the “Distinquished Club President” by Kiwanis International, and received the “Kiwanian of the Year” award twice.
His activities included heading up the Food Bank, distributing food to an average of 120 residents per month. He also chaired the Buckaroo Breakfast event for several years, and was active in promoting the Key Club at Sisters High School. Keeran volunteered in many Sisters Kiwanis fundraisers including working in the Kiwanis Kitchen.
Following the recent death of his wife, Darleen, Glenn is headed for San Diego to be near his children, but promises to visit friends in Sisters.
