Sisters Library hosts big book sale

For some folks, quilt show weekend holds another event just as exciting as the annual stitching extravaganza — the huge used book sale held at Sisters Library by the Friends of the Sisters Library (FOSL).

Beginning Friday evening at 7 p.m., members of FOSL will have the opportunity to peruse the wide variety of books that will be on display in the public meeting room and on the veranda of the new Sisters Library.

All day Saturday, from 9 a.m. until almost dark the sale is open to the public, with FOSL members and volunteers on hand to help treasure hunters find the book they have been seeking, whether it is for a child or an adult.

It is possible to find used books in any subject area that will make birthday gifts for youngsters and oldsters alike.

Books are donated throughout the year and prices are a steal: Paperbacks and children’s books are 50 cents; hardbacks are $1; trade paperbacks are $2.

This will be the first full-scale used book sale offered by FOSL in the new Sisters Library, located at 110 N. Cedar St.
