A Sisters woman was charged with fourth-degree assault after she allegedly hit her sister and a male friend in an altercation over where to eat.
According to Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office reports, the woman was riding in the back seat of a car going from Sisters to Bend on June 27. Her sister was in the front passenger seat and a male friend was driving.
The woman and her sister allegedly got into a heated argument over what kind of food to eat and the woman allegedly reached over the back seat and started choking and hitting her sister. She also allegedly hit the driver, who stopped at the Cascade Village shopping center at the edge of Bend.
The woman and her sister reportedly got out of the car and started a shoving match. The man reportedly intervened and the woman hit him in the ear, cutting the ear severely enough to require stitches.
Bend police requested that a local deputy arrest the alleged assailant and a deputy went to the woman’s home in Sisters and took her into custody.
