Sisters man arrested for murder plot

Daniel Eugene Burdick, 58, of Sisters, is in Deschutes County Jail on a charge of attempted aggravated murder.

According to police reports, Burdick became the target of a multi-agency investigation on Friday, October 27, on information that he wanted to murder a Bend Police officer.

Bend Police Detectives, Deschutes County Sheriff's Office Detectives and Central Oregon Drug Enforcement Detectives all worked on the intensive investigation.

According to police, Daniel Burdick was arrested without incident at the Sisters City Campground at about 6:20 p.m. last Friday. Evidence of the alleged crime was seized during the investigation and arrest, according to police reports. Burdick was also charged with Attempted delivery of a controlled substance.
