Sisters sheriff's calls...

• A woman reported that her brother-in-law was trying to take her kids to California after the children's father was sentenced to jail. Deputies intervened and the kids were returned to their mother.

• Deputies arrested a 48-year-old Sisters man for DUII after a traffic stop for speeding.

• The same juvenile who crashed a car into a power pole guy wire (see story, page 1) had been cited earlier in the day as a minor in possession of alcohol.

• A youth threatened suicide. Deputies contacted him and took him to the hospital for observation.

• A deputy had a lengthy discussion with a man who was having a wide variety of problems in his life.

• A driver drove off without paying for $20 worth of gas.
