School board seeks interim director

The Sisters School Board is accepting applications for a new member. The new board member will serve from the date appointed in early March through the end of June of this year.

Any citizen who has lived in the Sisters School District for at least one year is eligible to apply.

"It's a short period of time, but it's also a rare opportunity ... to start to serve and start to be involved in the process," board member Glen Lasken said.

The deadline for submitting applications is Monday, February 26 at 5 p.m.

Interviews are tentatively scheduled for Thursday, March 1.

The board is committed to appointing a new member before the review process starts of individuals who are applying to be the district's new superintendent.

Applicants may submit a letter of interest to the attention of the district's board of directors at Sisters School District #6, 525 E. Cascade Ave., Sisters, OR 97759.
