Burglar steals coin from dryers

Someone stole an estimated $300 in coins from two dryers in a laundry room at Mountain High Apartments last week.

According to the apartment complex manager, the theft was discovered on Wednesday, February 21, and reported to the sheriff's office.

She said that the door to the laundry room was unlocked when she discovered the theft. The thief or thieves ripped the entire top off of each dryer in order to gain access to the coin boxes.

One of the dryers was brand new, and the estimated cost of replacement is $1,100.
