News and Opinion from Sisters, Oregon

Tickets still available for Starry Nights

A limited number of reserved general admission tickets are still available for "An Evening With Gary Morris" on Saturday, April 28. The concert is the opening show for this season's Sisters Starry Nights Benefit Concert Series.

In addition, just a handful of tickets remain for "A Songwriters Evening With Vince Gill and Friends" shows on Friday, May 18, and Saturday, May 19. Tickets for the Morris show are priced at $45 and for the Gill show at $65.

A few sponsorship packages, comprised of tickets to both the Gary Morris show and the Friday, May 18 Vince Gill show as well as admission to the private sponsor party after the concerts, are still available.

Prospective sponsors can contact Starry Nights Sponsorship Chair Novella Swisher at [email protected] or call Shirleen Cundiff at the Sisters School District Administrative Office at 549-8521 for information.

All performers donate their time for the series, which supports classroom and co-curricular activities in the Sisters School District.

"We encourage our local community to join us for the 10th anniversary of Sisters Starry Nights and show their support for our schools," said Co-Chair Jeri Fouts. "To have these artists travel here and give their time is a tremendous gift to the students of this school district, and the music they will be sharing is a gift we hope local music lovers will get to experience."

Country music and Broadway sensation Gary Morris, who last played at Starry Nights in 1998, has one of the most celebrated voices in the music business.

Country music superstar Vince Gill will be joined in a songwriters-in-the-round format by a trio of his long-time collaborators: singer-songwriters Big Al Anderson and Bob DiPiero; and CMA Keyboard Player of the Year John Hobbs.
