Sisters sheriff's calls...

• For the second time, someone cut fence in the middle of the night at Patterson Ranch and let elk out - this time only two.

• A truck driver got stuck trying to turn around on Highway 242 - apparently after discovering that the road is closed.

• A deputy transported a road-injured owl to Sunriver Nature Conservancy from where it was to be taken to a vet for care.

• A high school student was contacted after being disruptive on the middle school campus. He was told to stay away from the middle school, or he would be cited for trespassing.

• A woman reported that her daughter stole a saddle that used to belong to her. The mother was afraid she'd sell the showpiece for drugs.

• A vehicle backed into a Sisters business and took off - leaving some taillight behind.

• Officers had to call out a maintenance crew to sand icy roads on the Ranch. It's only April, after all.
