News and Opinion from Sisters, Oregon
A head-on collision on Highway 20 west of the Santiam Pass on Thursday sent three people to the
hospital.
According to Oregon State Police, the driver of an eastbound pickup truck lost control on the wet road and slid into a westbound pickup truck. The passenger in the eastbound truck was ejected and critically injured.
Another car came upon the scene minutes later and failed to stop in time to avoid colliding with the other vehicles.
That driver, Brittany Bradley of Sisters, was unhurt.
Gary Sneva, who has lived in Sisters, was the driver of the westbound truck. He was transported to the hospital as a precaution, according
to OSP.
Roads can be slick in springtime as snow and ice melt and re-freeze.
