•The Pony Express is offering an additional 10 percent discount on school packets purchased at The Pony Express to be donated to the Taylor Tire Les Schwab FAN School Supply Fund-raiser. They will also deliver donated supplies to Les Schwab. Call 549-1838 for more information.

•Sisters Athletic Club is hosting a benefit for the American Transplant Foundation with the Oregon premier showing of the movie, "Ride of Your Life" on Thursday, August 23, at Sisters Movie House.

A reception with Olympic snowboarder Chris Klug at 6:30 p.m. will be followed by the movie at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the club.

•Cliff Scharf Gallery is having a "Customer Appreciation Sale" with 15 percent off of all Cliff Scharf Jewelry and 20 percent off of all Nancy Watterson-Scharf original paintings.

The gallery is located at 431 E. Cascade Ave., across from Papandrea's.

•The Bend Spay and Neuter Project will be conducting a Cat and Kitten Adoption Weekend, August 18-19, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the Three Wind Shopping Center parking lot.

All animals are already spayed or neutered with first vaccinations and microchip ID. Donations of cat food, cat litter and gently used towels and sheets will be gratefully accepted at that time.
