Norval Townley Grubb of Portland and Black Butte Ranch passed away unexpectedly Friday, September 28, at the age of 85.
Born March 22, 1922, in Bend, Norv served in the Navy on a submarine in the South Pacific during World War II.
An Oregon State alumnus, he moved to Portland in 1946 to begin a 37-year career at ESCO, serving as a vice president. In 1947, he married Virginia Thomas.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Jeff and Neil; daughter, Janice Butler; and nine grandchildren. Remembrances may be made to Valley Foundation at Valley Community Presbyterian Church, 8060 S.W. Brentwood, Portland, OR 97225.
