Ground broken on new Sisters brew pub

Three Creeks Brewing Company (TCBC) broke ground on its new brew pub facility on Monday, January 7.

Kallberg Construction will build the structure on the FivePine campus, just west of Sisters Movie House, with an opening slated for the summer of 2008.

"Located in the heart of craft beer country, we are excited to bring our unique creations to a well educated beer culture while taking advantage of our location which boasts some of the purest water in the nation," said Wade Underwood, President of Three Creeks Brewing Company. "We will be constructing an Old West livery stable to house our operations, with a comfortable, warm and rustic atmosphere that everyone will enjoy."

According to Underwood, the 6,000-square-foot facility will provide a full restaurant, a 10-barrel brewing system, a large bar area with large screen plasma TVs, two pool tables and a large patio.

"TCBC will utilize only the finest ingredients available for all of our food and brewing activities, while striving to impress even the most sensitive of palates," Underwood said. "Our menu of excellent yet casual and unpretentious pub food will be served in a family friendly, smoke-free environment that all patrons will enjoy. With a number of great breweries in Central Oregon, we are very excited to bring our craft brewing creations to the town of Sisters and look forward to seeing you at our place next summer."
