The state land use agency will require some technical modifications to Jefferson County's zoning plans, but nothing that will prevent resort development in the Metolius River Basin.
According to reports from a Monday ruling by the state Land Use Board of Appeals, the county must do more work on inventories of big game habitat and on the wording of forest zones.
Two resorts are planned near Camp Sherman; local activists and legislators have opposed the county rules that would allow them.
