Sisters songsters shine in competition

Sisters songwriters made a strong showing at the Sunday, April 6, Central Oregon Songwriters Association (COSA) "Song of the Year" awards show at McMenamins in Bend.

• Song of the Year: first place, Reno Holler, "Best Friends;" second place, Reno Holler, "Matthew 25;" third place, Michael Cooper, "I'm the Last to Know."

• COSA Performer of the Year: Reno Holler.

• Country Category: first place, Reno Holler, "Best Friends;" second place, Michael Cooper, " I'm the Last to Know."

•Jazz/R & B Category: second place, Mike Biggers, "Color of Rain."

•Spiritual Category: first place, Reno Holler, "Matthew 25."

•Folk Category: first place, Jena Rickards, "Gather Round;" second place, Jena Rickards, "Lover's Feud."

• Rock Category: first place, Mike Biggers, "I Don't Know Me."
