Six Sisters youths have been arrested in connection with a series of break-ins at Sisters businesses.
According to Deschutes County Sheriff's Office reports, Deputy Dustin Miller and Sisters School Resource Deputy Don Pray developed information regarding two juvenile male suspects that were involved in the burglary and theft to Sisters Video that occurred on April 14.
After extensive interviews and follow-up investigation, two 15-year-old males from Sisters were arrested for Burglary II, Theft I and Criminal Mischief II for the burglary to Sisters Video. Property from the burglary has been recovered in the case.
The males were also arrested for Burglary II, Theft I and Criminal Mischief II for a burglary that occurred to Bambuumi, another Sisters business, located at 170 W. Cascade Ave. In that burglary cash and merchandise from the store were stolen. This burglary occurred prior to the burglary at Sisters Video.
Both juveniles were lodged at the Deschutes County Juvenile Detention Center on those charges.
After the initial arrests for the burglaries to Sisters Video and Bambuumi, additional suspects were developed in related burglaries that started near the end of March 2008. A total of six juveniles have been arrested in connection to burglaries at six different locations and have all been lodged at the Deschutes County Juvenile Detention Center on multiple felony and misdemeanor charges.
Their ages range from 12 to 15 years old. The juveniles all knew each other and participated together and separately to commit these burglaries. The affected locations were: Sisters Video; Bambuumi; Wolftree Central Oregon; 170 West Cascade #7; FivePine Lodge, Rental Cabin #31.
Over $2,600 worth of stolen property, belonging to Sisters Video and Wolftree Central Oregon, have been recovered at this time.
