To the Editor:
Buried in the middle of David Brooks' column (The Nugget, May 14, page 2) is the idea that love is vital.
Why does it matter if one believes in God or evolution or transcendence? If you cut me off in traffic or slam a door in my face, you don't know love.
This simple concept is demonstrated every day at the Post Office when we hold the door for each other. It is not about what you believe, it is about how you treat the world around you.

Thank you to all those who contributed to our Fifth Annual Garden Fair held on May 10 at the elementary school.
Our yearly event was very successful and it would have not been possible without the help of all those who volunteered their valuable time and effort before, during and after the fair, as well as those who contributed monetarily or with goods and services.
What a great community we live in and we appreciate all the generosity and support it gives our children as they develop a deeper awareness of gardening.
