To the Editor:
We are approaching a candidacy of the most deceptively dangerous politician in my lifetime. He has been packaged and sold as a messiah of change for America. However, as yet we have no definitive message as to what this change means. It is very vague and amorphous.
However, we definitely have some concrete messages, uttered in his speeches over the past several months. I recently heard Mr. Obama state that Americans probably eat too much, keep their houses too warm, and that somehow we have a duty to sacrifice our lifestyle to show the rest of the world the way.
This is more of the global warning drivel spouted by many politicians today. It sounds more to me like the neo-Stalinist police state from 1967-1989, run by Nicolae Ceausescu, who would turn down the heat in government apartment complexes for the good of the country. We all know happened to him.
I want no politician telling me what I can eat, how warm I can keep my house, or what I must drive, while he jets about the world and lives like a king.
So, beware Obama. He carries the moniker of the most liberal Senator in the Congress. Here we have man with virtually no experience running anything, much less the federal government. He has never balanced a budget, knows nothing of military matters, and rambles on about visiting dictators throughout the globe without conditions. Another Jimmy Carter?
The only conclusion to be drawn is that most Democrats vote on emotion and others are being dragged along in the hysteria. These people must park their brains at the door due to their incessant need to have government take care of them.
