Deputies responded to a domestic dispute and ended up citing a woman and taking a man into custody on a warrant.
A man drove through a bank drive-up wearing nothing but a towel. He said nothing untoward and did not expose himself, but the teller thought it was a little weird.
Citizens reported seeing a parent yelling at and slapping a child in Sisters. A Black Butte Ranch officer stopped the family at Indian Ford Road and Highway 20 to investigate. The officer determined that the incident was not child abuse.
The sheriff's office received multiple calls about an Estonian student who was out in Tollgate selling study guides (see story, page 8).
A business owner reported that an exploding soda bottle had sprayed soda on the side of his building. The bomb squad was not needed.
A man reported his appliances stolen from his home. Turned out that his co-owner had sold them, and since they belonged equally to her, it was no crime.
A local resident found an injured chocolate Lab on Highway 20, limping with a broken paw. It had apparently been hit by a car. The resident paid for veterinary care, which will be reimbursed by the owner - if police ever find one.
A deputy resolved a dispute between two women over child custody.
Some damage was reported to a bench at Barclay Park.
A 53-year-old man was arrested for drunk driving.
