Deputies and Black Butte Ranch officers responded to a report of a forced-entry burglary at a home in Sisters. It turned out to be a family dispute.
The family's son and his live-in girlfriend had gotten into an argument with the son's parent, who locked the young couple out.
They tried to break back in and the parents called police. The girlfriend, 22, was charged with assault, menacing and coercion for getting her boyfriend to go along with a crime. He was cited for trespass.

There were multiple reports of thefts from vehicles at the Pole Creek Trailhead, which is always a summertime hunting ground for thieves.
A man reported his daughter missing. She was found in a play tent on the home property. She was none the worse for wear, but dad might have earned a few gray hairs.
Someone ran into a CEC pole in town and fled the scene, leaving a car part behind.
