Laura Mosar, loving wife and mother, died at her home in Sisters on July 12. She was 54.
She was born Laura Mitchell in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on August 17, 1953. Laura graduated from St. Mary's Nursing School in Minneapolis, and spent over 30 years as a registered nurse in Oregon.
Laura resided in Medford for 20 years before moving to Sisters in 2001.
On August 24, 2002, she was united in marriage to Allan Mosar in South Lake Tahoe, Nevada.
Laura had numerous passions, including her children, quilting, golf and animals. She was an active member of PEO and Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Sisters.
Laura was also an accomplished athlete, excelling in platform diving and tennis. She will be forever remembered for her loving and generous heart, and deeply missed by the many people whose lives she touched.
Survivors include her husband Allan of Sisters; mother Miriam Mitchell of Minneapolis, Minnesota; daughter Ann Hildebrandt of Seattle, Washington; son Daniel Hildebrandt (and his wife Alison) of Ashland; brothers Norman Mitchell of Eufaula, Alabama and Jim Mitchell of Edina, Minnesota; sister Karen Nelson of Walnut Creek, California.
She was preceded in death by her father Norman Mitchell.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 25, at 2:30 p.m. at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Sisters. Donations may be made in honor of Laura Mosar at the Humane Society of Central Oregon.
