Sisters business at a glance

•Sage Antiques has just opened across from the Post Office in the former Sisters Antiques and Sundries location.

They will be open early this Antique Faire weekend for a porch sale from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Look for antiques, collectibles, furniture and more.

•Richard's Produce will be hosting "Bear Hugz" through the end of August. Stuff and dress your own bear and friends. They will be open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 870-6509.

•Sisters was voted one of the "Top 10 Dream Towns" for the perfect vacation or the perfect rest of your life in the August issue of Sunset Magazine. The magazine chose Sisters for breathtaking views, Old West style, and one of the most highly-touted school districts in the state.

•Baabaara's Wild & Wooly Inc. is offering a "Learn to Knit" class for kids with Louise Jacobs on Wednesday, August 13 and 20 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Call first 549-9665 (WOOL).

•Aspen Lakes' "Sunset Serenades" continue on August 17, at 7 p.m. with the Soul Searchers. They will be performing '60s and '70s dance music.

A free golf clinic will be conducted at 6 p.m., before the concert.

•An artist reception for Bob Newhart will be held at Sisters Art Works (SAW) on Friday, August 15 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Enjoy contemporary paintings and live jazz music. SAW is located at 204 W. Adams Ave.

•Air Life has changed its name to AirLink.

•A Joyful Noise Learning Center will host an open house for preschool and pre-K classes on Thursday, August 21, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Root beer floats will be served. The address is 104 E. Adams Ave.

•Look for the "Scotts Tent Sale Event" on Friday, August 15 and Saturday, August 16 at Lutton's Ace Hardware. They will also be having an "End of Season Super Sidewalk Sale."
