• Online shopping is now available with Alpaca by Design. Their new Web site is http://www.AlpacaByDesignShop.com. Socks, hats, capes, alpaca teddy bears and other gift items can be ordered directly from the Web site. For the more unique items such as designer coats and sweaters, visit their shop at 170 W. Cascade Ave.

• The restaurant at Lake Creek Lodge is now closed for the season, but their cabins are available year-round. The lodge and dining room are also available for special events or holiday gatherings.

• Cork Cellars will be hosting a Zerba Cellars Wine Tasting with some of their favorites and new releases on Thursday, September 4, from 5 to 8 p.m. The cost is $6 for the tasting, with no reservations required. For more information, call 549-2675.

• Three Creeks Brewing Company is celebrating the return of Monday Night Football with $1 tacos through half-time. Sunday night is "Rib Night" at the brewery, with a half rack of baby backs for $14, or a full rack for $20. They are located in the FivePine campus.

• Scoots Bar and Grill is the last stop on the "Benefit Poker Run" for the Cascade Community School of Music (School of Rock). There will be live music with the Badlands Boogie Band from 3 to 7 p.m. with no cover charge.
