Gallery hosts raffle to benefit raptors

Soda Creek Gallery of Sisters is hosting a raffle to benefit Wild Wings Raptor Rehabilitation, also of Sisters.

Wildlife artist Tom Murphy is donating an owl sculpture, with all proceeds going to raptor rehabilitation. Raptors include eagles, hawks, owls, falcons and osprey.

The sculpture is a perched saw-whet owl carved from maple on a maple burl base and it can be seen at Soda Creek Gallery.

The winner will be drawn on October 1. All donations are tax deductible as Wild Wings is a 501(C)(3) public benefit charity. Please help with the rehab of these fantastic birds that get injured and orphaned through a variety of accidents and aid the restoration of nature's balance.

Wild Wings Raptor Rehabilitation is owned and operated by Gary and Kellie Landers. At their facility near Sisters they rehabilitate raptors who have been injured in accidents, often involving cars. Some of the birds can be released back into the wild; others find homes in zoos or other educational displays.

For more information about Wild Wings Raptor Rehabilitation or to report an injured bird, call 408-0863.
