• Things went from bad to worse for a 21-year-old driver who was stopped for failing to obey a traffic control device. He backed into the patrol car that stopped him and then fled, running into the curb at the Sisters School District Administration building.

• A woman called the sheriff's office very upset that her Staffordshire bull terrier had hurt a deer. She didn't know how to operate a gun to put the deer down. She wanted a deputy to put down the dog because she couldn't deal with such behavior.

A deputy explained that he couldn't do that, but he did put down the severely injured deer.

• Some students at Sisters High School put dead squirrels on another student's car. They were suspended. One of the suspended students has an older brother who allegedly threatened to beat the victim up. There was no word as to whether the squirrel brotherhood is seeking revenge.
