Harvest Time at C&C Nursery

Harvest time is here and the fun is just beginning. Before Old Man Winter blows his blanket of snow across Sisters Country, the folks at C&C Nursery are all set to load us up with good farm-fresh fun during their month-long Harvest Fun Time Celebration.

Owners Chad and Cathy Stadeli opened C&C Nursery in April of 2005 and hosted their first pumpkin patch in 2006.

"This is the Year of the Dad," said Cathy Stadeli. "We've always had so much fun putting together the Sisters Pumpkin Patch since we started it in 2006, but this year we added activities for everyone in the family."

Her husband and business partner, Chad Stadeli added, "Our new events this year are a zip-line that any dad can ride and a pumpkin slingshot...oh yeah, is that going to be fun! I knew what I'd like to do and thought other dads would, too."

Previous years have been geared for ages 13 and under, but this year the whole family can find something that'll widen their smiles. In addition to the zip-line and pumpkin slingshot there will be a huge hay maze, jump house, and obstacle course with a long slide and a fire pole.

There will also be a snack shack with fresh apple cider, cookies and muffins to keep the energy up while families play together. Pumpkin painting will be available on Saturday, October 11 and 18, from 2 to 4 p.m.

Gourds, corn stalks and pumpkins will be for sale, too.

The Harvest Fun Time Celebration is open for field trips. The times for the Harvest Fun Time Celebration are Monday-Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with special hours for family weekends. Halloween Night, Friday, October 31, is also the Outlaws Homecoming Game. The Harvest Fun Time Celebration will close at 6 p.m. so everyone can make the game.
