The Lady Outlaws swept Elmira in three games at home on Tuesday, September 23, and two days later Sisters swept Junction City (JC) in another home match.
Kaity Douglass was the highlight of the night in Tuesday's match against Elmira. Douglass was 21/22 from the service line with seven aces. Haylee Schaab had 12 kills for the night and setters Dani Thompson and Kaity Douglass each recorded 12 assists. Scores were 25-7, 25-11 and 25-6.
Two days later the Outlaws won with scores of 25-10, 25-9 and 25-15. Again, performance from the service line was remarkable. Jessie Snow went 24/24 and Kaity Douglass went 14/14. Emily Douglass led the Outlaws with 10 kills, followed by Fe Pledger, who finished with eight. Jessie Snow recorded 18 digs.
"It was good to beat JC on our home court," said Coach Diane Bremer. "Since entering the Sky-Em league, the Outlaws had yet to beat JC at home. We were glad to get this one behind us."
Sisters is currently 4-1 in league and 21-1 overall. On Tuesday, September 30, Sisters will travel to Cottage Grove, and then on Thursday, October 2, the Outlaws will head to Philomath for a non-league match.
