Black Butte Ranch Police have arrested a 40-year-old Redmond man in connection with a pair of burglaries at the Ranch.
According to BBR police, on December 9, officers from the Black Butte Ranch Police Department were called to a residence on the Ranch regarding a possible burglary and theft. The officer investigating the burglary was informed by Ranch personnel while he was investigating the burglary, that on the previous day another officer had taken a report of burglary and theft at a different location on the Ranch.
After processing and collecting evidence from the burglary reported on December 9, the officer went to the residence of the burglary reported on December 8, to examine the scene for any similarities.
During this secondary examination the officer noted many similarities between the two burglaries and collected additional evidence. Over the course of the next two days the officer conducted numerous interviews and was able to establish that Ronald Lee Wright was a person of interest in the burglaries.
During the afternoon of December 11, Ronald Wright was located and interviewed. After the interview with Wright, the officer was taken to a residence in Bend; the people located there were acquaintances of Wright, and all the stolen property from the burglaries at Black Butte Ranch was located and recovered.
Wright was arrested and transported to the Deschutes County Jail were he is lodged on $65,000 bail. He faces two counts of first-degree burglary; one count of first-degree theft; five counts of second-degree theft; two counts of criminal mischief; and two counts of criminal trespass.
The burglaries occurred in the early hours of December 3. Wright is a former Black Butte Ranch employee.
On December 12, Black Butte Ranch Police cited and released Sharilyn Manni, 45, of Bend, in connection with the burglaries. After interviewing her regarding her involvement with Wright in the commission of the alleged burglaries, police cited Manni for six counts of theft by receiving, one count of first-degree theft and five counts of second-degree theft.
