News and Opinion from Sisters, Oregon
The Outlaws boys basketball team notched a 44-35 road win at Junction City on Tuesday, January 20.
Drew Harrison scored all of Sisters' 13 first-quarter points and at the close of the period the Outlaws held a two-point lead.
"I was trying not to force anything," said Harrison. "I had a lot of open shots and fortunately, I was able to knock them down."
The Outlaws came on strong at the start of the second half and held the Tigers to just four points in the third quarter. Sisters maintained the lead and went on to secure the win.
Harrison led the Outlaws with 20 points, including three threes. Ross Erickson contributed nine points, eight rebounds and six steals. Tyler Miller had four points and Kevin Wistrom finished with two points, five boards and two steals.
The Outlaws were 7/10 from the line and 7/10 on their three-point attempts.
Jordan Tandy was out the entire game due to a concussion, and according to Coach Jake Rothauge, Kevin Wistrom stepped in and did a good job at the post.
"Kevin really did a great job rebounding for us tonight," said Rothauge. "I was very proud of him and pleased with his performance.
"We're playing very good team basketball right now," said Rothauge. "Everybody is playing unselfish and we're getting a different high scorer every night. If our opponent keys on one player, they just pass if off and someone else scores."
The Outlaws traveled to Cottage Grove on Tuesday, January 27, and then play at Marist three days later.
