Gala supportseducation in Sisters

The Sisters Parent-Teacher Community (SPTC), an organization working to enrich the education of local school children, has announced its Second Annual Green and Gold Gala Auction benefiting Sisters Elementary School.

On Friday, March 6, at 7 p.m., SPTC will hold its annual auction event to raise money for Sisters Elementary School educational programs. The event will be held at Aspen Lakes Golf Course Brand 33 Restaurant east of Sisters on Highway 126.

The evening will include a silent and live auction, raffles, and fine dining with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres.

"We're gearing up for another fabulous event. Each classroom is creating one-of-a-kind art projects for the auction. The money raised will support our school's Art Literacy program, Artist in Residence, Science Day, and Author Assembly programs," said Event Coordinator Melanie Petterson.

Ticket prices are $25 in advance, and are now available at Sisters Elementary School; Brand 33 Restaurant at Aspen Lakes; Metamorphosis Spa; and Leavitt's in Sisters. The event is open to the public, with more 200 people expected to attend.

Childcare is available by reservation. For more information, contact Melanie Petterson (541) 948-9722 or http://www.greengoldgala.blogspot.com.
