News and Opinion from Sisters, Oregon
Hal Ketchum, one of the most renowned singer-songwriters in country music and a member of the Grand Ole Opry, has more than a dozen Top 10 singles to his name, including "Small Town Saturday Night," "Past the Point of Rescue," I Know Where Love Lives," "Sure Love," "Hearts are Gonna Roll," and "Stay Forever."
Central Oregon fans will have the chance to see this stellar performer when he makes his return to Sisters with his acoustic band on Saturday, April 25, to close the 12th season of the Sisters Starry Nights Benefit Concert Series.
Tickets for Ketchum's show, priced at $50 and $35, are still available at Leavitt's in Sisters.
"Hal first came to Sisters for Starry Nights in 2002 and it remains one of our most memorable shows," said Jeri Fouts, Co-Chair and founder of the series. "Hal's voice, lyrics and presence on stage are riveting and Starry Nights fans are in for a truly special evening. He is simply one of the very best."
Ketchum, like all Starry Nights headliners, is donating his time to support the Sisters Schools Foundation and raise funds for classroom and co-curricular programs and activities in the Sisters School District. In its first eleven years, Starry Nights has raised more than $840,000 in net proceeds for the Sisters Schools Foundation.
Tickets for the Michael McDonald show on February 21 have sold out, and concert organizers note that the sponsor section has also sold out for this year's series. Anyone interested in becoming a prospective future sponsor can e-mail Sponsorship Chair Novella Swisher at [email protected]
