District announces death of Drakulich's husband - Updated with information on services

The Sisters School District today announced the unexpected death of Nick Drakulich late Wednesday night in Portland. Nick is the husband of Elaine Drakulich, Superintendent of the Sisters School District.

He died of complications from cancer treatments.

Superintendent Drakulich has directed Margaret Bates, Director of Special Programs, to handle her district responsibilities in her absence. Further information will be posted on the Sisters School District Web site (www.sisters.k12.or.us) as it becomes available.

A Celebration of Life for Nick Drakulich, husband of Elaine Drakulich, will be held at noon on Saturday, February 14. The location is The Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 9800 SE 92nd Ave, Happy Valley, OR 97086. All guests are welcome to attend a reception following the service at Elaine's home in Happy Valley.
