News and Opinion from Sisters, Oregon
The Outlaws lacrosse program will host its second annual Lacrosse Family Bingo Night on Tuesday, February 24, from 5 to 8:30 p.m. in the Sisters High School commons.
A spaghetti dinner, both meat and vegetarian, will be catered by Sisters Harvest Basket and will kick off the evening. Cost for the meal is $10 for adults and $5 for children.
Bingo will begin at 6 p.m. and prize baskets will be awarded to every winner. The awarding of the grand prize of one week at the Westin Club Regina in Cabo San Lucas will cap the evening.
Lacrosse is a non-funded sport and supports boys and girls from second through 12th grades who are involved in the sport. Profits from the evening will go to pay game fees, officials for games, transportation, registration fees, and scholarship money for students unable to pay the registration fee.
High school lacrosse coach Bill Rexford said, "This is a fund-raiser unlike any other. Everyone can participate and have fun. People who didn't win had a great time at our bingo last year. We want the families to be there and want the kids running around.
"If people show up in numbers it will do great things for this program and our kids."
Rexford told The Nugget the players and coaches deeply appreciate all the businesses/shops that have already generously donated toward the prize baskets and the grand prize trip.
