New Sisters Post Office to open March 2

The new Sisters Post Office will open for business on Monday, March 2, at the corner of Larch Street and Barclay Drive.

Patrons who currently have a post office box at the Sisters Post Office will keep his or her current post office box number. There will not be a change of address.

However, there will be a new key. According to post office staff, a key exchange will start during the first week of March. A note on blue paper will be put in current boxes containing information on the new post office boxes. The note will have a new post office box key attached.

Patrons may either turn in their old key at the new post office counter or tape it to the blue note and place it in their new box for pickup.

There will be a number of new, larger boxes available if patrons wish to upsize their box.

Staff requests that patrons pick up all their mail from their current before using their new box.

Downtown delivery to cluster mailboxes south of Cascades Avenue is expected to start in mid-March.
