Borla named director

The Sisters Area Chamber of Commerce has selected Erin Borla as their executive director. Borla has been the acting executive director for the past 60 days.

Borla said she is honored to have been selected to serve as executive director. She is looking forward to working with the leadership, members and organizations throughout the Sisters Country to help further improve the economic climate of the region.

As executive director, Borla will be working closely with the newly appointed president of the Sisters Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Patty Vandiver, producing strategic plans, community development projects and ideas for creative activities throughout the year, with a focus on bringing more people to Sisters during the "shoulder" seasons.

"Working together with the Sisters Chamber staff, we are creating a strategic plan for the Sisters Country and we want to emphasize our open-door policy," said Borla. "We encourage businesses, members and non-members to stop by the Chamber office at any time. The Visitors Center is open and fully staffed with volunteers through the winter months. It's a new day at the Chamber and we would love to hear your comments and suggestions.

"The Sisters Area Chamber of Commerce is committed to improving the Chamber's business-to-business services. We're moving in a new direction with new strategies," she said.
