Three people were injured Tuesday afternoon, some described as serious but non-life-threatening, in a three-vehicle crash on Highway 26 east of Clear Lake in the Mt. Hood area.
According to Oregon State Police (OSP) Trooper Ryan Tellier, on March 17, 2009 at approximately 5:30 p.m. a 2005 Dodge pickup driven by Gary C. Larson, 46, from Sisters, was eastbound on Highway 26 near milepost 64 when, for an unknown reason, it crossed the center line and collided head-on with a westbound 2006 Nissan pickup.
A third vehicle, a westbound 2004 Infinity, came around the curve and was unable to avoid running into the back of the Nissan pickup.
Larson was reported to have serious injuries and was transported by AMR ambulance to Legacy Emanuel Hospital.
The Nissan pickup's driver, Scott Hoeke, 29, from Eugene, was also reported to have serious injuries and transported by AMR ambulance to Legacy Emanuel Hospital. The pickup's passenger, Michael Entenman, age 32, from La Center, Washington was also transported by ambulance to Legacy Emanuel Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Infinity's driver, Adam Henning, 39, from West Linn, was not injured.
Highway 26 was closed for about two hours. Road conditions did not appear to be a factor.
OSP troopers from the Portland Area Command office are continuing the investigation.
