Sisters sheriff's calls...

•A man reported his suspicions that a tree that blew down on his property in a January windstorm was cut prior to falling. A deputy examined the stump and determined that the tree was uprooted.

The man wanted the matter logged in case there is somebody out there cutting trees so that they blow over. You never know...

•A man approached the Black Butte Ranch Police Chief at a local restaurant, wanting to press stolen vehicle charges against the man the Chief was talking to. The complainant's mom came out and told the Chief that the car was actually hers and that she's not interested in pressing charges.

The Chief, being familiar with some of the people involved, does not believe the car was stolen.

•A man was cited and released for reckless burning.

•A man was cited for a code violation for having an unlawful sewer system on his mobile home.

•A Sisters area resident caught a problem dog in a live trap. The dog was transported to the Humane Society and the owner cited.

•A man was arrested for drunk driving after his vehicle slid off the roadway on Highway 20.

Deputies arrested a 48-year-old woman for drunk driving.

•A homemade weapon was found in a student's room at a local academy for juveniles.

•A deputy investigated after noticing that several school bus doors were open although the busses hadn't been operated for two weeks. The busses were secure.
